My, how time flies! Gabe's two month appointment was today. And... shots! :( I remember with Sofia, I cried right along with her. This time, I was prepared but it wasn't any less heartbreaking. It's especially tough when he does the red in the face, not breathing cry followed by a full pouty lip! To make matters worse, he was super smiley and happy when we got there. Dr. Linsmeier said he was a little flirt. Then, we stuck him and that all changed very quickly... SO SAD! But, it was over in one minute and he was fine. Mommy still deserved a coffee after!
Overall, he is healthy and well and happy.
Here are his stats:
Head - 40 1/2 cm (90 %ile)
Height - 24 3/4 inc. (above 98%ile, off the charts!)
Weight - 14 lbs, 13 oz (90%ile) Big boy!
So happy that he's a healthy boy. Always a reminder of how blessed we are.

Father's Day
It was Mike's third Father's Day, believe it or not! Luckily, his gifts were pretty easy - a bourbon magazine subscription and a new photo tie :) So cheezy, but he loves it or at least he pretends he does! It's a tie with Gabe and Sofia's pic on it. For his first Father's Day I got him a tie with Sofia on it so I figured he needed a new one this year! He always gets lots of compliments on it and we always have to pass on the website it was from so I think it's pretty cool! It was a great day - church followed by brunch at our favorite place - Maxfield's. Then, after naps we had froyo and watched Sofia frolic in the splash pad at Bayshore. Always a guaranteed laugh.
I had to include Sofia's mad lib from the WAC Kids Club day care where she and Gabe go while I get my workouts in. They interviewed the kids to get the answers and hers just cracked me up. So sweet!
Mike is certainly the best husband and father I could ever ask for. Aside from being a "natural" at both, I am also forever grateful to him giving me the opportunity to be at home with our children to raise them each and every day. I could never do it without his support and blessing (and job, haha). I never dreamed we could actually do it and make it work well, but we have somehow pulled it off for over two years now and have never been happier. Thank you, Mike. Words can't express my gratitude!

Strawberries
This afternoon Sofia, Gabe and I met Ali and August for some strawberry picking at a local farm. It's actually the same place we do apple picking in the fall but sadly the apples were ruined by the freak warm weather in early March followed by a couple of freezes :( But, today we had so much fun! At the end of it all, Sofia was covered in red strawberry juices and a huge smile. I'm so happy Ali took these pics b/c there were so many precious and fun moments as we picked strawberries today! It was a great way to spend an afternoon and we even got to taste as we picked!

Gabe smiles and tummy time
I finally got some great smiling pics and video as well as some tummy time shots. He's getting so strong!
Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day 2012 was a blast. Sofia probably had the most fun as she got to play a ton with "all these cousins" as she put it several times. It was definitely a blast and it's just such a joy to watch all the kiddos actually enjoy each other now! Can't wait for Gabe to get in on the cousin action!
