Pretty sure everyone knows our big news but it's taken me a while to actually document it! It's been a super crazy time for us and definitely bittersweet as we are making the move back to Houston. It's been a couple months in the making now but we officially head out on August 2nd. Mike got a great opportunity to go back to the Rockets and decided it was definitely the perfect next step for his career and exciting for our family for sure!
Of course I am over the moon excited to be near my family and closest friends again. I honestly can't wait! But, I never imagined I'd be this sad to leave Milwaukee. So many reasons . . . I've met some really really great friends who I hope will always be a part of my life. They were so much of the reason why I began to love this city. Also, we started our family here so it will always hold a special place in our hearts. It's where Mike and Lisette (and Baxter!) Schnieders began and added Sofia and Gabe! We recently found a family away from family in our new church which I will miss so very dearly. I met some amazing people there and really found a place where I could fit in and truly love. Lastly, it will be difficult to leave the close proximity of Mike's family and or course the lake house, especially the joy it brings Sofia to hang with her cousins. I know there will be lots of skyping and of course visits too! We are truly blessed with amazing family.
I remember how sad I was to leave Houston and never imagined it would be equally as sad to leave here. But, I'm so excited for this next chapter in our lives. I'm excited to live in the same city as my parents and have them experience their grandchildren in the same city! And Uncle Matty! I can't wait to be with my best girlfriends again too and all of our kiddos! Something we've talked about since high school! :) I'm sure we'll also meet new friends. So much potential and such an exciting move for our family. On to the next journey...

Baptism
Last weekend we baptized Gabe. Such a special day and I'm so glad we were able to get it together the way we did. Because of our big move, we had to make some date adjustments and I'm so thankful that it worked out perfect! The only people missing were my parents which was a bummer but I think they are OK with it since we'll be living there soon.
Gabe's baptism was at St. Monica, where Sofia was baptized. It was on Saturday, July 21st. Adam and Jes are the Godparents and were excited and honored to have little Gaber as their Godson :) The ceremony was beautiful and Sofia was great thanks to the iPad, ha. She sang loudly and also cheered every time the music stopped. Once Gabe got the water poured on his head, she asked Grandpa "Is he clean now?"
He wore the amazing family heirloom gown that has been in the Schnieders family for many years. So special and beautiful. It was also a beautiful time with family and we ended the evening at one of our favorite Milwaukee restaurants, Motor. A fun and casual place that is great for kids, especially when we added the ice cream cake. YUM! :)
God Bless Gabriel Michael!
