Sick House

At least one of us in this house has been sick for the past two weeks.  Major bummer but hopefully I'm the end of it!  It started with both kiddos getting colds/coughs and then Sofia's turned into a nasty double ear infection and then Mike caught it and now me (and my Mom too!) I ignored it for the past few days and after my third night in a row of not sleeping due to the razors going down my throat, I decided I needed to get to the doctor.  I really don't go to the doctor unless I need to and today, I needed to.  For the sake of sleep mostly!  Turns out we've been passing around a yucky upper respiratory infection.  I got some meds and hopefully will be on the mend.

And let me just add that being sick while caring for two young children is no joke.  Talk about no sick days for mommies. This is my third illness since being home that has knocked me on my butt for at least 24 hours (this has been the longest!).  And, I just have to say thank God for my mom.  She has helped me so much - just knowing I can make a doctor's appointment and she can take care of the kids.  Or knowing she can come over for a bit so I can get a little rest . . . it's honestly priceless.  I can't even thank her enough.  She's the best.
